Earned her Master of Arts Degree (MA) from Argosy University, and is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the District of Columbia (#PRC14034), a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Maryland (#LC3324-inactive), and a National Certified Counselor (NCC)and has a Marriage and Family Therapy Certificate.

She also has a Critical Incident Stress Debriefing and Management Certificate for individual and group, is an Educator, and an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Provider and Trainer. Dawn is trained in Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and Eye Movement Integration™ (EMI).

Dawn has over fifteen years of experience working with individuals, couples/families, and corporate and educational groups and has worked in a variety of settings including community mental health agencies, courts, State agencies, schools, universities, homes, hospitals, and residential treatment facilities.

With her broad range of experience working with a variety of populations and, as an Educator of Psychology, Communications, Interpersonal Skills, and Cultural Diversity, she is able to connect with and relate to people from diverse backgrounds.

Dawn uses an Integrated Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy approach in her practice, which means that she combines different theory-based techniques to address the unique needs of her clients. Her experience with different styles and methods of therapy enable her to offer appropriate and effective approaches to various issues.

By using practical, interactive, therapeutic modalities, she provides support and feedback to help clients change or resolve current issues and long-standing patterns.

Dawn works with each client to help them build on their strengths to identify and achieve their life goals.
